The Buy Nothing Project Presents: the first ever
Multi-Group Pre-Holiday Clothing and Gift Extravaganza!
Including the Buy Nothing groups of Burien/Normandy Park, White Center/South Park, Tukwila/Seatac, and Des Moines coming together to bring blessing to our local community! This will be a great opportunity for the community to see the face of the Buy Nothing Project, and to be blessed alongside the many members who are already a part of this amazing movement.
Location: Beverly Park Baptist Church, located at 11659 1st Ave. S. in Burien.
**ITEMS TO BE OFFERED**
Clothes of every kind, books, personal care items, and baby items. Donations of non-perishable food items will also be accepted for the local food bank.
Browse the "Wall of Words", our affectionate name for an eclectic collection of books.
The "Kiddos Corner" will display items specifically for the shorties in the family! Included are toys and games, baby items of various kinds, furniture, toys, and other miscellaneous necessities for the wee ones among us.
The "Table of Bling" will be an area specifically managed by a member with expertise in cosmetics and personal care, so we will also receive items related to personal care (mirrors, nail products, you know all those little gadgets and gizmos that many of us collect in a basket in our bathrooms!), jewelry, hair products, nail accessories, etc. These items will be offered in an an area all their own where they can be showcased and offered as a sparkling finishing touch!
Lastly, but definitely not least in importance, there will be an area for donating non-perishable food items that will be gifted to the local food bank to bless those in the community this season.
So what does all this mean to our members here? It means that we need everyone to consider pulling something out of a closet and contributing to the giveaway. We want to put on a veritable bumper crop of choices so folks can come find something awesome, so we need lots of items to choose from.
**GIFTING INFORMATION**
Items to be gifted may be brought to the event location between 8am and 10 am the morning of November 15th, or arrangements can be made for earlier dropoff if needed. Contact Lorrie to make arrangements for dropoff if needed, by either email or phone: JustLorrie@gmail.com 206.330.3269.
Attendance at the event is NOT required if you donate, so even if you cannot come to the event itself please consider gifting something that someone else will be able to use.
**ALL ARE WELCOME**
All are welcome to come in and pick up items, as the event is intended to bless the entire community. So, invite your friends, bring your families, and let people know about the event! We will see you there!
